South West Aviation in Scale

Our mission is to tell the story of aviation history in the South West of England. Often only thought as a sleepy holiday destination or somewhere to retire to, the region has had and still has, an impressive role to play in both military and civilian aviation. From early pioneers such as John Stringfellow in Chard to the development of Concorde at Fliton, from manufacturing at Gloster, Bristol and Westlands to the burgeoning space industry on the rugged Cornish coast. The SIG has attended Yeovil (our debut) and Scale Model World 2023. We are now looking at a few more shows locally for 2024. It would be brilliant if any member could bring a model for the table. Please forward your interest on to myself. I am looking into the prospect of a dedicated website.
