Romania
The Romania SIG aims to celebrate all things Romanian, from military and civil aircraft, armour and military vehicles, ships, civilian vehicles, trains, figures and anything else. With its long and rich history of the historical principalities of Moldavia and Wallachia, through unification and independence from the Ottoman Empire, its strategic position in both World Wars, decades of communist rule and its emergence from the Cold War to the modern state it has become, there is vast range of subjects for members to draw from. Interest in Romanian subjects has grown since the appearance of a pair of MiG-21 LanceR C at the Royal International Air Tattoo in 2019, however, we aim to be fully inclusive and allow any subject from any period, so long as it is related to Romania or its historical provinces. The SIG has the potential to present subjects not usually seen, with Romania having developed home-grown aircraft and vehicles, as well as drawing from subjects of both Warsaw Pact countries and from the West ��������� familiar subjects represented in unfamiliar markings.
