Airfix 24 hour Squadron Scramble

Special groups of young modellers along with modellers from local model clubs, Air Cadets and other organisations will be undertaking a challenge to construct as many Airfix 1/72nd Spitfires as possible in a marathon sponsored 24 hour modelling session.
The event will take place from 10.15 am Saturday 31st March to 10.15 am Sunday 1st April 2018.
It will be open to the public for viewing on Saturday only 10.00am to 4.30pm, admission free to view, parking free.
This event is part of the nationwide celebrations to mark the centenary of the formation of the Royal Air Force on 1st April 1918.
Sponsorship raised will be shared between The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund (RAFBF) and Rainbow Ward, Children’s Unit, Margate.
Along with the challenge there will be displays by local model clubs and groups, including a collection of over 350 1/72nd scale model Spitfires.
There will also be a collection point for Modelling For Heroes, the model making charity (donations of unmade but “complete” model kits of any subject will be welcomed).
