Only sixteen days to go now, Branch and SIG leaders will be receiving the drop off car passes any time now as they were posted on Monday.
Can all those who have not yet let me have names and membership numbers for their early entry set up crew please do so as soon as possible please on the UKLO contact address.
Can branch and SIG leaders please contact UKLO by email with details of set up team requirements for wristbands.
Include your Branch SIG name, the name and membership number of each person needing a wristband (max 4). Wristbands will be valid for all weekend, can you also please let me have details of how many car park passes will be needed.
The sooner this is in the better even if I have to make a few last minute changes
Due to personal reasons the leader of this SIG has stood down and the deputy is not able to take the reins at the moment but I am pleased to say that Nathan Robinson has offered to step into the post. His contact details are on the website.
Because I seem to be getting a lot of emails from people worried about the risk assessments I have decided to issue a generic form which can be edited to suit.
As it stands it covers all the basics and just needs a Branch or SIG name adding along with a date.
If your Branch or SIG has any extra risks that you feel should be mentioned then they can be added at the end of the form.
Please note it is a Branch or SIG responsibility to perform a proper risk assessment; simply “tick boxing” the template form is not sufficient.
The form is on the Scale ModelWorld Forms page or can be downloaded directly from here
The deadline for risk assessments to be with the UK Liaison Officer is the 30th June.
Can all Branch and SIG Leaders please make sure that you have one on file before that date?
The listing on the website is up to date and checked daily, so if you have sent a copy in and it has not been entered please contact me as it may have not arrived.
Remember that we now have a new UKLO and that I am quite happy to accept risk assessments by email (contact details here)
John White, UK Liaison Officer
